Production Management

A creator finishes a project. A studio builds the capability to finish again. Five pillars: organization, documentation, version control, approval, creative memory.

MasterclassSystems that protect the vision

Covers

  • Chapter 14 — Production Management for AI Cinema
Do not build a workflow that depends on memory. Build a system that protects the vision.

Learning outcomes

  • Install a seven-folder production structure
  • Name one shot PROJECT_SCENE_SHOT_VERSION_STATUS
  • Write one sentence: what must this production system protect?

From the draft

Chapter 14
Finishing one AI film is an achievement. Building a system that allows you to finish the next one is something different. That is the beginning of a studio mindset. A creator asks: How do I finish this project? A studio asks: How do I build a process that can finish projects consistently?
Chapter 14 · Five pillars
A practical AI studio should build around five pillars: Organization. Documentation. Version control. Approval systems. Creative memory. Never destroy an approved version while testing a new idea. Avoid: Final. Final 2. Final New. Final USE THIS.
Chapter 14 · DaKreator38 Studios
DaKreator38 Studios develops cinematic stories and creative systems that combine human imagination with emerging technology. A stronger identity is not 'we make AI videos.' It is: we build stories, systems, and worlds. Do not build the studio around one tool. Platforms change.

Creator workflow becoming a studio system. The Traitor King cannot depend on improvisation: Peter, Emade, Nya, Akame, James, elders, sacred geography, government technology. Institutional memory even when the crew is one person.

Classroom case

The slate as a production map

A production dashboard answers: what is finished, what is blocked, what comes next. It prevents working only on whichever shot currently feels exciting.

Production handoff — operations in the world of the film

Classroom case

Handoffs

When image hands to motion, when motion hands to edit, when picture lock goes to sound — every handoff should have a known package.

Studio folders

Build the seven folders from the draft: 01 Story, 02 Characters, 03 World, 04 Production, 05 Audio, 06 Edit, 07 Final Delivery. Name one shot PROJECT_SCENE_SHOT_VERSION_STATUS. Create five status categories. Write one sentence: What must this production system protect? If the answer is only 'files,' think again.

Take-home

Production system check

Answer the draft check: Can every important asset be found quickly? Are major decisions recorded? Can you identify the newest approved version without guessing? Do you know what finished means? Could the project survive if one platform failed? Bring the answers to the close.
