In the shadow of Cameroon's Muanenguba mountains, the sudden fall of a powerful king sends shockwaves through an ancient kingdom — and awakens questions that were never meant to be asked.
Story
In the shadow of Cameroon's Muanenguba mountains, the sudden fall of a powerful king sends shockwaves through an ancient kingdom — and awakens questions that were never meant to be asked. Twenty years earlier, his son Peter was accused of an unforgivable act and banished by his own father. His name faded from the kingdom, but his twin sister Emade never forgot him. Now, as the royal family confronts a dangerous struggle over legacy and succession, events begin pulling the estranged twins toward a past neither fully understands. Deep within the mountains, beyond the forbidden waters of the Twin Muanenguba Lakes, an ancient female guardian known as Nya Nyongo has watched generations of kings come and go. And she remembers what the kingdom has forgotten. Rooted in Bakossi-inspired mythology and the breathtaking landscapes of Cameroon, Kings and Queens Vol. 1: The Traitor King is an epic of family, power, exile, ancestral memory, and a truth buried long enough to threaten everything built upon it. Some histories are forgotten. Others are deliberately buried.

Characters

The Ancient Watcher
Guardian of the Twin Muanenguba Lakes. For centuries she has watched kings rise and kingdoms fall. She remembers what others have tried to erase.

Rev. Father
The king's son. Twenty years ago his own father accused him of an unforgivable act and banished him. His name faded. He is thirty-five now — a Catholic priest — and the fall of the king is pulling him home.

The Twin Who Stayed
Peter's twin. She never forgot the brother the kingdom erased. As the royal family fights over legacy and succession, she is pulled toward a past neither of them fully understands.

Illegitimate King of Ahon
Late sixties. He seized the throne through power, manipulation, and blood. He killed his brother, the rightful heir, and will stop at nothing to keep the stool and silence the truth.

The Son Who Refused
Early forties. Son of Akame, not his brother. Father of Akamakin. A farmer of Ahon living in shame of his father's legacy. Kind, weary, honorable. He rejects that blood and protects his son with quiet strength.

Elder of Ahon
Sixty-five. Red cap, bone necklace, the whisk and the old law. He stands between the village and the lie the palace tells.

The First Witness
A child of Ahon. Curious, observant, loyal. She holds a secret about the king's death and her missing brother. She protects the truth.

Diplomat
A Cameroonian diplomat. His grandparents were touched by the force in the rainforest. He oversees the investigation into the mountain — and uncovers a truth the palace cannot afford.

PA to the Minister
Former Air Force captain. Now personal assistant to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization. Top-secret clearance. She holds the codes for the rainforest mission.

Behind the scenes
Volume 1 of Kings and Queens is the studio flagship: Bakossi-inspired mythology, family, power, exile, ancestral memory, and the landscapes of Cameroon. Some histories are forgotten. Others are deliberately buried.
Process
The king's fall is the present. Twenty years earlier he banished his own son. Emade never forgot. Nya Nyongo is female, and she has been watching longer than any king.
Mountains, twin crater lakes, palace rite, and the law of Nya Nyongo. Nothing enters a frame unless the land would allow it.
Stills and motion as coverage: the same Peter, the same Emade, the same lakes — different lenses, same covenant.
Forest, lake hush, palace drums, a mass in Ahon. The edit follows memory — present and flashback — not the novelty of the tool.
